Selling a house in today's market can be quite a challenge. With so many properties being offered For Sale the competition is fierce, and it is more important then ever for a house to be a knockout. Enlisting the services of a Home Stager puts you on the best path toward beating the competition.
Years ago Sellers relied on their Realtor to give suggestions for preparing the house for sale. While Realtors are experts in marketing, negotiating, handling the incumbent inspections, certifications and settlement, few are skilled in the art of preparing a home to Go On Stage. Also, the Realtor does not want to alienate the Seller by suggesting, for instance, that the dated wallpaper be removed, the worn carpet be replaced, or that the toys be removed from the driveway for showings.
The Stager is there for one reason only- to make the property look its very best!
Ann brings a tremendous skill-set for staging a home. As a past Realtor, she knows what the buyers want to see and what sellers need to hear, while ever-mindful of keeping the sellers' outlay to a minimum. She brings her organizing and de-cluttering skills, her gift for creatively using the furnishings already in the house, and her knowledge of Feng Shui, the ancient Art of Placement.
Feng Shui deals with the energy in and around a house, including the land it sits on. Using Feng Shui principles, Ann may move, remove and adjust items in the house to create an environment which will prompt a quicker sale and best price. She refers to it as the "Wow" factor. Feng Shui has been present since the beginning of time, and Ann knows how to make it work for you when you are ready to sell.
The modest fee for a Home Stager's time and expertise may put thousands more dollars into the pocket of a homeseller!

Placing the sofa in front of the breakfast bar better defines the living room area, conceals the stool legs, lamp wire, and invites you to sit as you enter the room. The flower poster sits on an easel, adding visual interest to the corner. The small end table is an urn with a piece of glass on top. |

This spacious family room was out of balance with a huge sectional sofa on the right, a wall unit on the far left wall, with an ottoman sitting haphazardly in front. We brought back into the room the chair that matches the ottoman and a coffee table to balance the space. Moving the silk tree softens the wall behind the chair, and the addition of a large red plate on the mantle creates a focal point and matches the throw pillows on the sofa.

Everything in the room was in a row! We pulled the rug away from the window wall and placed it further into the room, on an angle, which visually expanded the room. Rearranging the furniture gave the room a more relaxed, welcoming appearance.

The entry hall table in this home was filled with baby photos, shouting to anyone coming through the door that this was their home! The photos had to go – along with the tired poinsettia and bedraggled floor plant. A picture found elsewhere was put into service to fill the large white wall and help ground the space while adding visual interest and a welcoming tone.

What a difference a clutter-free table and floor can make – and a picture on the wall!

The kitchen counter looked cold and lonely. After placing the canisters and other items on it, it looks more “lived in” and homey, while still not crowding it.

Angling furniture, as we did in this after photo, often lends a new dimension to a room.
The breakfast area looks much more spacious than when the table was crowded against
the wall. A green plant at the sink helps to soften the area.

Getting rid of the clutter immediately improved this kitchen. Then we removed the table
cloth, turned the table light fixture around and found a large, lovely picture for the bare wall. Wall pockets near the window now hold all incoming mail for the multiple adults
living in the household, keeping the counter clear. Whalla! When’s dinner?

Removing the office equipment did wonders for this dining room, but not enough. The
green carpet was replaced with a more neutral one, clutter was banished, and adding a tablecloth and flowers enhanced the total look.

Same room as above. In addition to de-cluttering and new carpet, the china closet, which
overpowered the room, was moved to a more unobtrusive spot on the side wall, dramatically opening up the space. A small bookcase showing off a teapot and cup collection replaces it.

occurred! I only saw you move, remove and rearrange things and yet you
transformed the house into a much warmer, inviting and lovely place! …
Thanks to you, the house sold shortly after your visit. I am totally
impressed with your talent and knowledge of Feng Shui. I recommend you
